The Humane Society of Port Jervis/Deerpark
is a non-profit animal shelter
serving the tri-state area of
New York, New Jersey & Pennsylvania.
We raise 95% of our income from
private donations and fund raisers.
All of our fund raisers are done
with volunteer labor so all money
raised (allowing for expenses) goes
directly
to the care of our homeless animals.
Our employee staff is small,
yet
dedicated to the care of the
animals
in their charge.
We run a fiscally tight operation
while caring for almost
200 animals every month.
We have estimated that it costs
$18. per day per animal...
$1,000 per day
to keep the doors open.

We always need dog and cat food...

and extra bag or can of pet food
when you shop. Every bit helps!
We are always in need of cleaning
supplies (bleach, towels, paper
products, sponges, etc.)
Working office equipment is a
boon to our shelter. So are supplies
like pens, pencils, paper.
