The Humane Society of Port Jervis/Deerpark
is funded solely by private donations.
We receive no operational capital from any
government agency nor any other group such as
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS)
The money that keeps us going is donated by you
and other friends who believe that animals deserve
the chance to have a good life in a loving
home for the rest of their lives.

There are many ways that you can support our efforts.

An acknowledgement of your donation is always
sent to you unless you put cash in the donation box
at our shelter. That type of gift is anonymous unless
you put your contact information along with the cash.

In the case of donations made In Memory of a person
who has passed away, an extra acknowledgement is sent to
the next of kin stating that you donated in this way. The
amount you donated is not disclosed, just that you were
kind enough to donate in remembrance of their loved one.

If you'd prefer to donate by credit card, you can stop
by the shelter and we'll process your donation.
If you'd like to donate online, we use PayPal as our
credit card processor. You don't need to be a member of
PayPal or sign-up or give them any information except
your credit card information. It is safe and we have used
it for 10 years without any problems at all.
When you arrive at the PayPal site, look at your
address bar and you'll see that it is a secure site
by the https: in front of the address.
It is a secure site and your information is encrypted.

We now have two different types of donation buttons
that are explained below. The first button is for a single,
one transaction donation.
The second button is for a monthly donation.

For A Single Donation

Use this button for a single donation. You may enter
whatever amount you'd like to donate. You'll receive a
confirmation from PayPal via e-mail and our Webmaster
will contact you to ask if your donation is for a particular
reason (such as a Memorial, a general donation, etc.)

For A Monthly Recurring Donation

You may choose the amount that you would like
to have deducted from your PayPal account or charged
to your credit card every month. Just click the little arrow
to the right of the OPTIONS box for your choices.

You may cancel your subscription at any time by following
the instructions that are provided by PayPal. If you have any
trouble cancelling, please contact us and we'll help you.

This amount will be deducted/charged on the same day
each and every month. Your subscription will help us
with the daily care of the animals in our shelter.
