Lost Pets

If your pet has become lost,
the first thing you need to do is
call your local animal shelter.

Give them the best physical description
of your pet that you can.
Give them your name, address and
phone number as well.

If you lost a dog, call the
local Dog Control Officer in
your town or city.

Then, start looking high & low
for your lost dog or cat.

Time is of the essence...
for every hour that they're gone
they may be a mile further away from home.

Your pet should always wear
a collar with an ID tag.

All that's necessary on the tag
is your town, state & phone number.

A rabies tag is also good
for ID because there's a number
on it that's unique to your pet.

After your pet returns,
figure out how they made their
escape and try not to repeat that
mistake again!
